How we handle your data
Your recipes live on your phone
Ajimi is built to work on your phone first. Your recipes, notes, meal plans, shopping lists and Kitchen Rules are stored on your device, not on our servers, and there’s no account to create. Cook Mode, timers and your grocery list work with no signal at all.
Your allergies and diets stay private
We treat Kitchen Rules as health information. They never leave your phone, except the rule labels (such as “dairy-free”) sent with an adaptation you ask for, without your name or the names of anyone in your household. They are never sent to crash reporting or analytics.
What leaves your phone, and only when needed
- AI reading and adapting. When you ask Ajimi to read or adapt a recipe, that recipe goes to Google’s Gemini API to do the job. We don’t keep it, and it isn’t used to train AI models.
- Purchases. The App Store or Google Play handles payment. We never see your card.
- Crash reports. Error details with no recipes, rules, names or email. You can switch them off.
- Usage stats. Anonymous counts, only if you say yes.
Everything sent between the app and these services is encrypted in transit. What’s stored on your phone is protected by your phone’s own security, such as your passcode and Face ID.
No ads, no tracking
No ads, no advertising IDs, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. This website sets no cookies at all.
You’re in control
You can export your whole cookbook from inside the app, or delete everything from Profile → Data & Privacy. If you delete it, it’s gone. We can’t recover it, because we never had it.
Found a security problem?
Please tell us at [email protected], with enough detail for us to reproduce it. We’ll reply, fix confirmed problems as quickly as we can, and won’t take action against anyone reporting in good faith. Please give us a chance to fix it before you make it public.
