Save recipes from anywhere.
Adapt them to fit your life
Capture and save any recipe from TikTok, Instagram, a blog, a cookbook, or any other source.
Ajimi rebuilds it around your allergies, preferences and diet goals, and explains
the food science behind every swapped ingredient.
Cook on it before anyone else
iPhone testers get a TestFlight invite first. Everyone, Android included, hears the day the public release opens a couple of weeks later. We do not pass your address on.
Save it from anywhere. It arrives already checked.
Tell Ajimi once what your household can’t or won’t eat. Then save a recipe from
anywhere — each one lands in the same clean format, already checked against your
Kitchen Rules.

The Food Science
Every recipe, rebuilt for the people eating it.
Every recipe app can list an ingredient swap. Ajimi explains the food science behind
it, so you know why it works and how flavour, texture, and moisture stay balanced.
Step one
Set your Kitchen Rules once
Allergies, strict religious restrictions, the ingredients someone simply won’t eat,
and goals like lower-carb or high-protein — for everyone in the household. Every
recipe you save is checked against all of them. Set your heat level (milder, as
written or hotter), and tick the equipment you don’t have: recipes that need it say
so, with a workaround.
Kitchen Rules, set once during setup
Step two
Open a recipe. It’s already adapted.
Every clash gets a substitute that does the same job in the dish — binder,
thickener, structure, fat — with any change of technique it needs and the reason
it works.
Portions that stay sane.
1 to 12 servings — a third of a cup becomes two thirds, not 0.666 cup.
Macros that follow along.
Calories, protein, carbs and fat are re-estimated when you change an ingredient or a portion.
The swap, and the reason for it
Try it: switch on a Kitchen Rule
Tap one or more and watch the recipe change, the way it does in the app.

Goals
The swaps and their reasons are the app’s own. Ajimi suggests them, and you choose which to keep.

Adapted version
Weeknight Lasagna
OriginalAdapted
6 servings · 7 ingredients
Step three
Why each swap works
Moisture equilibrium
Gluten-Free Lasagna
Firm layers, not a watery mess
Pasta sheets→replaced bythinly sliced zucchini ribbons
Zucchini is roughly 94% water, and pasta sheets normally release starch that thickens the sauce. So Ajimi tells you to salt and pat the ribbons dry and to reduce the sauce.
Over 70% fewer net carbs, depending on your sauce
Tannin & acid balance
Alcohol-Free Chicken Marsala
The same deep, winey sauce
Marsala wine→replaced bywhite grape reduction, aged balsamic and stock
Combining natural grape sugars with the acidity of balsamic mimics the oak-aged tannins and caramel notes of fortified wine, without the alcohol.
One wine, replaced by three ingredients
Stable emulsification
Nut-Free Satay
Still glossy, still clinging
Peanut butter→replaced bysunflower seed butter and a splash of coconut cream
Sunflower seed butter matches the rich lipid profile of peanut butter at around 50% fats, with the natural emulsifying solids that give satay its glossy, clinging texture. No peanuts, no tree nuts, no sesame.
Ruled out: tahini, because sesame is a major allergen under the FDA FASTER Act
Step four
And when a swap won’t work, we say so.
Not everything can be substituted. Aquafaba makes a beautiful meringue but cannot
carry an angel food cake, because that cake depends on heat-setting egg protein that
aquafaba does not have. Ajimi labels every adaptation honestly — close match, works
with changes, or not recommended — and will tell you to pick a different recipe
rather than hand you one that fails.
Allergens come from a lookup table, not a guess.
Where an ingredient can’t be matched, Ajimi says so instead of guessing.
Every swap is checked against the whole household.
Standard commercial cornflakes contain barley malt — a hidden gluten source — so
Ajimi cross-references every replacement against the full Celiac list before it
suggests anything.
When nothing suitable exists, it stops.
It refuses the adaptation and tells you to pick a different recipe.
One tap removes the olive oil and salt you already own.
Clear completed.
Empty the checked items the moment you leave the till.
Send it on.
Share the list to WhatsApp or SMS as clean checkboxes.
Use up what’s left.
Pick what you have — two eggs, some spinach, half an onion — and Ajimi finds the saved recipes that use it, including ones that are missing just one thing. Free and unlimited.
Your cookbook, notes, meal plans and grocery lists are stored on your device, so they open instantly, even with no signal.
No ads. No tracking. No selling your data.
No tracking cookies, no advertising IDs, and your allergies never reach our analytics. Recipes you send to our AI are used only to answer you: we don’t keep them, and they’re never used to train AI models.

FAQ
Knowledge & Specifics.
Is Ajimi really free to use?
Yes, and there is no account to create. Unlimited recipe storage on your device, unlimited imports from web links, manual entry, bringing a library over from another recipe app, full Cook Mode with timers and voice commands, the grocery list, the 7-day meal planner, and finding saved recipes that use what you have are all free with no time limit. The free plan also includes Chef Credits: 10 in your first month, then 3 a month.
Can I rely on it for a severe allergy?
Use it as a careful second pair of eyes, not as the final word. Allergen matches come from a lookup table rather than an AI guess, every substitute is checked against the whole household’s Kitchen Rules — including allergens hidden inside compound ingredients like soy sauce, Worcestershire, or malted cereals — and where an ingredient cannot be matched, or no suitable swap exists, Ajimi tells you instead of guessing. But recipes are written by other people, and products change between brands and batches. Always read the label, and for a severe allergy follow the advice of your doctor or dietitian.
How does the adaptation work?
Ajimi reads your Kitchen Rules, works out what job each ingredient is doing in the dish — binder, thickener, structure, fat — and finds a substitute that does the same job. It adds any technique changes the swap needs, like salting zucchini before it goes into a lasagna, and explains the food science behind each one.
What are Chef Credits, and what happens when mine run out?
One Chef Credit = one AI recipe capture (a social video or a cookbook photo) or one full adaptation to your Kitchen Rules. The free plan includes 10 in your first month, then 3 a month. Monthly credits refresh each month; credits you buy never expire. Web link imports, manual entry, and bringing a library over from another app never use credits. If you want more, upgrade to Pro or take a top-up pack: 10 credits for $1.99 or 25 for $3.99.
When can I get it, and is it on Android?
Early testing starts on iPhone through TestFlight, Apple’s beta programme, so the first invites go to iPhone users. The public release on iOS and Android follows a couple of weeks later. If you are on Android, sign up anyway and we will email you the day it opens.
Can I bring my recipes from another app?
Yes, and it is free and unlimited. If your current recipe app can export a .json or .zip file, Ajimi can read it. Migrating 200 recipes costs nothing and uses no credits — we would rather you arrive with your whole cookbook than start from an empty one.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your recipes, notes, and grocery lists live in a local-first database on your device, so Cook Mode, timers, and portion scaling work with no signal at all. Saving a new recipe from a link, video, or photo needs a connection.
Can my household share one grocery list?
With Ajimi Pro, yes — share your cookbook, meal plan, and grocery list with up to 5 people, updating live across devices. On the free plan your library lives on one device.
Do recipe creators see what I cook?
They see a number, not a person. If you cook a recipe from a creator, we share counts — how many people cooked a dish, how many made it gluten-free — and never who, never where, never what else is in your cookbook. Creators pay nothing for this and we sell nothing to anyone. You can switch it off in Settings.
What happens to my recipes if I cancel, or want to leave?
You keep everything. Because Ajimi is local-first, your recipes, notes, adaptations, and meal plans stay on your device if you cancel Pro. And you can export your whole collection at any time as open JSON or printable cards, with no lock-in.
Every recipe, adapted to the people at your table.
Ajimi opens on TestFlight first, then on iOS and Android. Put your name down and cook on it from the start.
